@LOL has it right for the most part. St Andrews use to be $28k, but have dropped their tuition to $21k. Prep is $13k, JA is $16K. The thing is St Andrews rarely offers financial aid, and if it does it is very little. Prep/JA very few pay the full tuition, they easily give discounts especially alumni and multiple student discounts. Before ya'll say "stuckup" for talking about private school, keep in mind any inner city public schools are bad most everywhere and most avoid them. Only good public school in the area is Madison Central which is probably the best public high school in the state. St. Andrews is by far the best school. You need to pass an entrance exam. Before you say it's "Mississippi good", it's actually top 10% anywhere, not saying it beats the best school in GA or TN, but it's better than 90% of the schools in those states. Prep/JA is about average on a national high school ranking. Prep vs. JA is apples to oranges. Prep is more old school: older campus, little better teachers, little better sports, a lot of kid's parents went to prep, and you get your typical snobby 'MS born and raised' kids, although they aren't as snobby as they once were. JA is new school: newer campus, latest tech, younger teachers, girls look a little better. Prep might be 4-9s with the average being a 7 and JA is 5-9s with the average being a 7.5. MRA is new new school, if you want the 'great value' version of JA. Not saying it's bad, but it's a notch below JA. Reason why Prep/JA even Madison Central kids act stuckup is because the rest of the schools are crap. It's like an Ole Miss kid looking down at a Northwest kid. And they ignore the St. Andrews kids because most of them end up going to good schools: Vandy, GA tech, Duke, UNC etc., and they don't come back to the state after.
