PLEASE PLEASE do not listen to that website about only putting one house on your pref card. That is called "suiciding" and by only putting one house on your pref card, you may not end up in a sorority at all. So lets say that you go to house A and house B for pref round but really want to join house A. You should make it known to the actives during pref round at house A that you really want a Bid there. Also, you can kindly let the actives at house B know that you found your home at another house. Only do this during pref round. Also, when you rank on your pref card put house A over B. By doing both of these, your chances of getting a bid to house A will increase as most of the time house B will put you lower on their pref list since you told them you want to be in another sorority. However, I know girls who still got their second choices but they ended up loving it and were very happy that the process worked that way for them. Pref is set up that the house who wants you the most will get you. That being said, if you only go to pref for one house, you are guaranteed a bid to that house. If you pref two houses, you are guaranteed a bid to either house ONLY if you put both houses on your pref card.
