As soon as you get to ole miss start trying to meet people in bars or on campus. Getting a bid to a good house is definitely a lot harder if you’re not friends with people in the frat already. You can get a bid with formal rush but it is just a lot harder. You have to make sure you talk to the exec if you don’t know anyone in the house to increase your chances of getting in. Don’t rely on formal rush too much, guys who don’t know people end up getting bids to only the small frats.
