(1) Exhaust every possible option in your personal network first: relatives, family friends, teachers, women you go to church with, women your parents know from work, your friends' friends and relatives, etc. (2) If you're still coming up short, reach out to your local alumnae Panhellenic or, if your city doesn't have one, the local alumnae associations for specific sororities. (3) If all else fails and you're desperate, you could try r/Sororities on Reddit. (Avoid GreekChat at all costs. LOL) Be polite and respectful in any case, but especially if it's somebody you don't know who's sticking her neck out for you. Ask nicely rather than demand, and SAY THANKS if you score a rec. A handwritten thank-you note is best, but even an email/DM thank-you is better than no thank-you at all.
