Y’all seem v upset by what I thought was an easy to understand example. Peggy PNM or w/e would prefer to go back to chapter I over chapter J and chapter J over chapter K so if she has space in her schedule and all three ask her back they’ll match her with her number 1 choice to go back to. At some schools they also don’t rank in order of preference every single chapter, only ones the PNM wants to drop (i.e. first alternate, etc). Both versions just show the PNM that you rank the chapter higher the more you want to go back to it, regardless of terminology. If I were a freshman I would understand that explanation. If you don’t that’s fine but offer your own explanation then instead of getting mad? Like this is literally not worth getting that upset over these people are clearly trying to help you need to calm way tf down
