Let's provide a more visual example: Patty PNM went to 11 houses today and can go back to a total of 8 houses tomorrow. She ranks like this: The houses she definitely wants to go back to are houses A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H. She would rather not go back to houses I, J, and K. She ranks them: 1. I 2. J 3. K But let's say house B doesn't invite Patty back the next round. The RFM system will try to fill her schedule to a total of 8 houses, so it looks to see if any of the 3 she ranked invited her back. If house J and K both invited her back, it takes HER RANKINGS INTO CONSIDERATION and puts J on her schedule, because she ranked J above K. This is the sort of thing a PNM should understand when going into recruitment, because having been a recruitment counselor before, I've had PNMs throw fits and cry when they don't understand why house K keeps popping back up on their schedule night after night even though they "cut them."
