Have said it better @yeah (above comment). First of all, if some of you Texas folk think that we Mississippians are so "shallow minded", I don't understand your desire to go to ole miss. Secondly, I can say that without a doubt that the big Texas colleges that you either could not get into or chose not to because you want to go to college with "shallow minded" Mississippians, have the same level of catty comments on their greek rank pages and the "higher" tier sororities put down the "lower" tier sororities just like every other college on this lovely site. (Quite sad actually that this whole sorority thing is suppose to be about sisterhood and greek unity.) Anyway, finally, I can also say that without a doubt MOST girls go into rush everywhere with an idea of what they want, and I repeat MOST but not all do this. Either they have friends in chapters, or heard who is "good" or "not" or they are legacies who either do or don't go that path. Some girls go in blindly not knowing much at all and some go through kind of seeng who their pledge class might be and then some go in totally open minded. All of these are fine! Bottom line girls: this is how we roll at the University of Mississippi, love it or leave it. Ps: same everywhere else too. Have a nice day :-)
