In my opinion and based on tent talk going through rush last year, all 3 of these houses are top tier for OOS girls. I would have a hard time choosing between Kappa and Phi Mu if I had both on pref. Kappa is fun and interesting but Phi Mu is sweet and strong sisterhood. I didn't care for DG because they're so obsessed with their image and they're middle tier just like kappa and phi mu who don't care about climbing the ranks. I don't think Kappa and Phi Mu are in competition because they both attract a different type of top oos pnm's. Kappa has a lot of smart girls and party girls and Phi Mu has a lot of future trophy wives and pageant girls, one type isn't better than other it depends completely on your personal preference. I love that these 2 houses are both middle and don't compete, I think they really show pan love. DG on the other hand really turns me off because they can't accept that their middle too and try exhaustively to put themselves in their own tier. They are a GREAT chapter and SUPER STRONG, don't get me wrong, but they have a reputation on campus to be really extra. This wouldn't be a negative thing but they diss all the other houses in order to make themselves look better. It's great to be competitive but there are much more important aspects of being in a sorority than simply social climbing.
