Many houses will drop you immediately without recs; some won't as the poster above said - although the fact that those houses dropped her even with recs doesn't mean you should not get them. Houses cut hundreds of girls each round, especially at first, so it's best to do everything you can to get them. If you're not willing to get them, that could indicate to some houses that you weren't as serious as other girls, since many are in the same situation as you but do get them. OM recruitment is super competitive which is why it's so important to get recs. Otherwise, you put yourself at risk with many houses, especially the top and mid-tier chapters. Yes, I know people on here will dispute the tier thing but it's true that many of those houses are stricter about recs.
