I came to Ole Miss from Out of State and had absolutely no intention of going through Rush, however after I got here I thought I would give it a go. I had to scramble for letters, of course I didn't attend any Spring Parties and didn't waste my time or money on spending thousands of dollars on clothes just for rush. I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling from DDD (although their house is beautiful) so I wasn't disappointed when they quickly cut me. However I did like KD and they were extremely nice to me even though I knew I wasn't going to make it past the first cut. I did end up accepting a bid from a 'middle' tier and I am very happy. My Sorority is very diverse, which is just right for me. I came in with a good resume, good grades, leader in high school, high ACT, volunteer service, etc, I feel pretty sure my resume would stand up against any girl in any sorority. I think the key to DDD and KD are connections (Ole Miss connections), and meeting as many of them as possible (through Spring parties and once you get on campus). However like several other posters have said: DO NOT put your hopes on these two sororities. Keep an open mind! If you are truly interested in Greek Life you will find a place you can be happy and enjoy a strong sisterhood.
