I think most out of state students are more adventurous and enjoy the challenge of seeing new places and meeting new people. I am an OOS and I am enjoying my time at Ole Miss. I came here for my major and for the most part I am pleased. I joined a sorority that is almost entirely other OOS students and I love it, and it does help with meeting people. However I am also involved with several others groups that I also enjoy, and my major offers opportunities to participate in group activities. I would definitely check with DG to see how they handle transfer students. Greek life is strong here, but there's also plenty of other opportunities to meet people if you just look for them.
