That could be a mistake. I would play it safe for now- and keep your "gut feeling" to yourself as much as possible until it gets closer to rush. In this new variable quota system you are LUCKY to have a legacy option, just ask the huge # girls from last year who were IN-HOUSE legacies who got cut ...It's never has been a slam dunk for all legacies to think they're automatically in at Ole Miss, but especially now days. And if your legacy house gets even a HINT that you aren't interested, you could be cut right off the bat. So...if you really ARE open minded...keep meeting girls from your legacy house, give them a fair shot, too. But at this point there's LOTS of time to connect with girls from other houses, and you can always low-key mention the "I want to be open minded" thing. We get it. Most houses like the challenge of taking other houses legacies, so don't think we aren't open to trying. As long as your sister isn't currently an active member, it's pretty easy to be super polite to your legacy house, while exploring other possibilities at the same time. PS- DO NOT REPLY about whether your sister is active or not. Its way too easy for them to figure out who you are....
