I know many many girls in the same position as your daughter. Many dropped out today rather than accept a bid to a house they didn't see themselves in. I know one girl in particular who woke up this morning thinking she would be preffing two houses she had friends and family members in and was dropped by both. Devastation all around as actives in both houses were shocked and upset. Before you tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about, actives from both houses walked out on pref ceremonies today to comfort her. I was there. We all tried to talk her into the two houses she had left, but the shock was too much for a young 18 year old girl who already had friends and family in the houses she was a perfect fit for. All I can say is that there will be just as many girls who are choosing not to go Greek than there are girls accepting bids they don't want.
