I totally agree that the culture needs to change. Folks, finding a group to colonize that has local appeal AND has never lost a chapter in MS is simply impossible. The choices are as follows: 1) Invite a group to colonize now and others to colonize in the future. Period. I agree that whatever group(s) would need to be strong enough nationally to sink lots of money into colonization efforts and building a competitive house. 2) Do nothing and let numbers spiral ever more out of control. 3) Force numbers down by artificially capping/lowering quota and total, thereby making sorority life super-exclusive and encouraging fewer girls to rush. (Of course, this would also result in tons of girls transferring out, or choosing not to attend Ole Miss in the first place.) In any case, SOMETHING needs to be done.
