Yes, that post was long, but worth a read bc it was filled with GOOD ADVICE for PNM's and ACTIVES. I'm a junior active in a "top" house here and I've experienced rush both ways- last year the way it has been for a long time, and this year using this variable quota system. Here's the deal: this year we were just forced to make our cuts earlier, but in the end we are going to end up with just slightly less girls then last year. We didn't want to do this- oh, yeah, we see ya'll. There are SO many amazing, beautiful, smart girls, and we want to keep you all! We fall "in love" with girls each round, and we wish we could have pledge classes of 200 girls, but we can't. It sucks bc its only gonna hurt us in the end- because the other sororities will get a lot of the girls we wanted, and after a few years of this, we have will have way more competition. In the past we would just hold onto these girls, knowing deep down that we were gonna have to eventually let them go, and then finally have to do bigger cuts later.
