I'm guessing here, but have spoken to enough of them to know there is some truth. This goes for other top houses as well. For simplicity I'm going to round the PNM up to 600 as the number who got invited back for Philanthropy. I know the number is slightly less, but it is a nice round number close to the actual number. They will release another 200 before sisterhood round, leaving them with 400 left. Then they will release another 200 before pref, leaving them with 200 on pref night. Panhellenic will assume they will get half the girls they pref, and the other half will go to the 2nd house they preffed. It is not unusual for top sororities to cut their lists like this. As with the other top houses, if you attended Philanthropy they want you. We all have about 600 girls on our target lists heading into rush. They will narrow their lists as needed, but their lists were ordered long long ago. Any movement in their lists at this point will be legacies that fail to impress, and girls they got to know better during rush that are impressive.
