Sure, I get that is is smart to cut girls you know you don't have a chance with, but how do you really know that they would be happier in another sorority? How do you know that they have their hearts set somewhere else? My freshman year, Chi O went around telling everyone that I was for sure going Chi O. Yes, they were in my top four, but there were three other sororities I liked better. On bid day, people were shocked to see me at a different sorority than Chi O. I literally had people (even moms) approach me saying they were sure I was going to be a Chi O. Thank goodness my first choice sorority chose not to listen to them! Wouldn't it be fair to let the girls decide rather than cut them early on some hunch?
