Take a deep breath and calm down. Yes, ole miss sororities are well known to have one of the most competitive recruitments in the nation. No, it is not fair. However, we also have some of the best chapters in the nation right here on our campus. I am from Texas. When I applied to ole miss I did not know a single girl who was here. I worked hard at finding connections! There was no stone left unturned. I did my research and attended spring parties and met as many girls as I could. I played the "game". Same as everyone else who wanted to land in a top or mid house. I am a senior this year and we preffed 3 houses the year I went through. I preffed all three top houses. Since then, I have come to realize that every sorority offers something special. Every year I rush girls from Texas. I introduce them to as many of my friends as possible, I go to bat for them and guess what, they get bids! Top sororities are not just for Mississippi girls! Over half my top sorority is from oos! We rush top girls from all over the south! I'm also thinking you are not a PNM, but a mom. I know this because moms always get way more upset than their daughters do. Your daughter will find her way! She will find her happy place. I promise! If not, then perhaps ole miss wasn't the right choice for her. For the record UT has just as competitive rush as here. If you didn't attend the right school or summer camp, it is just as brutal. While I'm at it, life is just as unfair as rush
