This is true for 5 or 6 houses. The rest are a little more fluid in their lists, and knowing actives in the house is not as important. Top houses will make huge cuts each round, bottom houses will probably only be cutting girls who's gpa's are too low, or simply don't have the qualities those houses are looking for. If you don't know any actives in any house, you don't need to worry! You just need to understand that some houses will cut you, but others will LOVE to have you! Rush is devastating! Roughly 80% of you will cry at least once during the week! 95% will be cut from at least one house you love and though would be a great fit! Being cut is not the end of the world! It is not something to be embarrassed about. You likely were not cut for any reason that you should take personally. It is a numbers game! Every sorority has swaps with fraternities. Every sorority has date parties and formals. Every sorority raises money for their philanthropies. Every sorority (except aphi) will have a place for you to gather and have meals with your friends. And even aphi will once their brand new house is completed. You will not have the SAME experience as every other house, but you will have a SIMILAR experience.
