Alpha Gam was at Mississippi State for about 15 yrs...up until about 10-12 yrs ago. Then they had to shut down because of lack of members. Another Alpha Gam chapter in MS would be a HUGE mistake...as would another DZ chapter. The one at USM shut down abotu 15 yrs ago because they were terrible. I think MSU had a DZ chapter like a zillion yrs ago that shut down for the same reason. And NOBODY down South knows what APhi even is, so they'd go over like a lead balloon. If any sorority were to be able to make a run at another school in Mississippi, it would be a Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter at either MSU or USM. The chapter at Ole Miss is pretty good, and that national org is well-established.
