Many alumnae have written recommendations all summer long and are done working for this year. From the UM Panhellenic web site: "Sororities at Ole Miss have requested that recommendation letters be sent as soon as available and, if possible, before Sept. 5, 2016. Some sororities will accept recommendation letters after this date." If the OP has looked for months and says she knows no sorority alumnae to write a rec, I doubt that another couple of weeks will change the situation. The lack of recs will affect her results, but she will still have several options.
