It's not easy getting into any top house. Like the others, for dg and ddd you will need at least a 3.2 gpa, a great resume, one good rec from an ole miss alumni, 3 to 4 letters of support, and multiple in-house connections. Any pock marks on your reputation and expect to be cut. Of course their are exceptions, like chapter legacies, or if you come from Jackson or Memphis and have a good reputation. Exceptionally beautiful girls don't necessarily need strong in-house connections, just a great resume and a few good Recs and LOS. Especially if coming from a private school and a wealthy family. In this case, you will need to impress the alumni advisors enough for them to pull you out of the stack. In my sorority, we are asked to personally guarantee a girl. If our girl gets a bid and gets called to standards during her pledge ship, she will get into trouble, but so will we, often with worse consequences. The pledge will lose social privileges for one event, we will lose socials for the rest of the semester. We won't fight for just any girl. It makes it hard for us if we love you but know you are a sloppy drunk! Without our personal guarantee, it's not easy for us to get our favorites in. We have to convince all our friends to support her as well. Ole miss chapter alumni hold more cards. If one of them supports you, and makes a few phone calls on your behalf, and you have the grades and resume to support you, then you are golden. \n\n\n\n\n
