Not going to camp could put you at a disadvantage because you'll have fewer connections, not because you didn't go to camp. But there are a million other ways you can make connections for rush- from high school, church, NCL or other extracurriculars that cross high schools, family friends, etc. If you have zero connections, it's probably going to be rough. Prepare to be cut from most top/ top middle houses unless you make an amazing first impression when you get to campus in the fall, or unless you're drop-dead gorgeous with a perfect resume and recs.
