5. I'm sure you're nervous about your appearance, hair, makeup, outfit, etc. Keep in mind that appearance matters in the sense that we care about PNMs looking put together and taking pride in their appearance. However, flawless makeup and perfect outfits are not something we take into consideration. Sure, it helps you stand out, but the conversations you have with chapter members, your high school and college involvements, GPA, etc. matter SO much more. Of course I can't speak for every chapter, but what makes a PNM really stand out is her attitude and the conversations we have. Good luck with recruitment! You'll hear "trust the process" a lot and it gets annoying, but it's true. Try to have fun with it! You get to meet tons of new people and hopefully find your home away from home (:
