3. Keep and open mind and try not to let the tier system or how your friends and floor mates are ranking affect YOUR opinion. That can be difficult, but try to think for yourself. Whatever chapter you end up in, you'll be living with these girls. Eating meals, hanging out, studying, going out, seeing each other at your worst and your best, everything. You should be able to see yourself doing these things. Don't think about the superficial factors too much, or you might end up really unhappy. The house I ended up in was not necessarily a top favorite during recruitment. However, I felt like I could always be myself and I laughed through every round. Now, I realize there is no chapter I would rather be in. 4. During the skits, videos, and pref ceremonies (all times when you're seated with other PNMS as chapter members stand around the perimeter of the room), pay attention to how the sisters are interacting with each other. It's normal to want to be thinking about yourself, messing with your clothing or looking at the decorations, but seeing how sisters interact with each other is a great indication of the chapter's attitude. Are they smiling, giggling, whispering to each other? Or are they straight-faced, not acknowledging one another, looking like they don't really get along? Everyone is going to treat you like you're royalty as the PNM, but how they treat each other says a lot more.
