You cannot receive a snap bid unless you begin the process, chapters have to meet you and score you for you to make their snap bid list. Having a friend or two may help with COB assuming their chapter does not make quota, however last year 17 of the 22 chapters made quota: one of those deliberately chose to not bid to quota, two were newer chapters, and two COBed to quota prior to Bid Night as they only had one or two spots. Two votes out of 150 are not going to help that much. I am sorry. Your only real alternative to coming to recruitment is to wait for Sigma Kappa's colonization in early February.
