1. Keep an open mind. I thought I wanted to be in a top tier house, and I ended up liking the middle tiers much better. 2. Don't get your heart set on any particular house. Indiana has one of the most competitive recruitments in the country. I was devastated to only have 4 housed sororities left after the first round (1 top tier, 1 middle tier, and 2 bottom tier). Personally, I was only interested in houses sororities, but that is a personal preference. The 3 unhoused sororities have great qualities. It was just important for me to live in a sorority house. The top tier sorority dropped me after the 2nd round, but I kept the middle tier and 2 bottom tiers the rest of the time. I was very fortunate to pref 3 housed sororities. 3. Be yourself. We can tell when you're being fake. 4. Don't forget to smile!!! 5. Have fun. Seriously, it is a grueling process, but you have to remember to have fun. 6. Breath mints or listerine strips. Good luck!!
