Every sorority does membership recruitment differently. Not everyone does this card thing. Recruitment is hard because you're essentially trying to find friends to add to your friend group. That's how I think of it anyway. Just because you had a nice conversation with someone doesn't mean that you want to be their bestie. Does that make sense? I'm sorry it didn't work out for you, but maybe you can try again next year and will have better luck at a different house because...like you said, getting dropped at that point makes it seem as if you just weren't the best fit for that particular chapter as sorry as I am to say that.
