Do not transfer!! I am currently in a sorority and will tell you it is over rated. Don't get me wrong, it has been a great experience and I have met some really cool people but living in the house two years in a row sucks. I don't care which house you get in, it is all the same. When you put all kinds of women together in a close proximity you are going to get lots of DRAMA. I have friends who did not get in their freshman year and they decided not to rush sophomore year because they still came to the parties and still are having a blast in college without a sorority. You don't need it. Also, you can get in as a sophomore. I will let you in a few secrets since this is anonymous. I have several younger friends who came through rush last year and this year. I could not get them into my house. There is nothing wrong with them, it is just luck of the draw. I don't get to pick, We use cards and that is basically my vote. If you get one card from one person in your five minutes of speaking together that is bad you will not get asked back. It sucks. So my friends think it is my fault. When actually, I did everything I could. There are just so many people going through rush. Grades have a little to do with it, appearance is the majority. I hate to say it, and yes it sounds shallow, but it is true. First impression. That is basically all there is to go on. So don't transfer over a sorority. Indiana is a good school.
