So true. I got a bid to my last choice house. I thought I was too good for them because I knew I was good looking and social. I was devastated when I got my bid. However, I wanted to be in a sorority SO BAD. So I gave them a chance. Bid night kind of sucked for me, but I still stuck with it and ended up falling in love my house within the weeks to come. So even if you go to bid night and have a bad time, you might as well stick it out for a little while longer. Go to a few new member meetings. There are probably other girls who are feeling the same way you do. Your future best friend could be a girl who went through literally the same thing. You owe it to yourself to meet her. And wait until you get your big! (That's what solidified it for me) So even if you want to cry when you get your bid (I did) and you feel awkward and out of place at bid night (I also did), still stick it out for a little while longer. You didn't go through the hell that is sorority recruitment just to drop out for nothing. Try to find a way to be proud of your letters. They represent so much more than you think. And even if you do end up dropping, please PLEASE don't be a bitter GDI about it. I have nothing against GDI's but it's so annoying when girls and guys are just bitter about the whole Greek system just because they didn't get what they wanted out of it.
