It's definitely different. In the Midwest, people care very little about "who you are" or how much money you have. It's all about having a balanced life and getting along with people. So PNMs could have it easier or harder depending on how you look at it. For girls, IU has one of the most difficult rushes in the country. It's as intense as rush in the South, and getting a "top tier" bid (Tridelt, Pi Phi, APhi, Zeta, Kappa) is extremely difficult. Somewhere around half of the girls have a hard time getting a bid at all. For guys, just be able to talk and mesh well with a group of guys. It's not so bad, and even if you dont get a "top" bid (FIJI, EX, Beta, PiKapps), you'll end up somewhere. Good luck!
