Agree, rush is very random for the majority of the girls going through. Sure there are some connected girls to houses that have an easier road but for the 98% of the rest of us, you go in with an open mind, and try to enjoy the experience. It's a exhausting as a PNM and lots of tears and anxiety will be had my many. Just remember, round 1 you go to 22 house and speak to maybe three people in houses that have 100+ girls. How you connect with that limited exposure determines if you make the cut for the next round. You heard the expression you only get 1 chance to make a first impression, well this magnifies that times 10. Most girls focus on the superficial stuff like looks, outfits, status, etc. At the end of the night your conversation skills and being able to connect and find some common ground will carry more weight. Practice your conversations skills with friends. Know what you want to get across, don't give one word answers, etc. As your are looking at houses, remember you are meeting less than 5% of the total population of the chapter during rush and, your really have no control over the process. You sound like you have a great attitude so keep that as you go through and remember, your not the only one who will be nervous and doubting themselves, there will be 2,000 other PNM's right there with you all thinking and wondering the same thing, some might just hide it better.
