In a "top" house here and am out of state. Last year I actually had an easier rush than my Indiana/Chicago friends even tho they seemed to know a girl in every house. Recruitment and ranking work differently for each chapter, but it is almost completely based off of personality and how well a girl gets a long with the 3-4 girls who rushed her that round. There are a couple of girls that I knew and they were all dropped even when I tried to intervene. On the other hand, all girls who had a bad reputation from home or had been mean/narcissistic/shallow enough for a girl to say something were dropped. If anything knowing people does a lot more harm than good!
