That’s not always true. I didn’t rush my freshman year at all because I didn’t think Greek life was something I wanted to be a part of. Obviously I changed my mind, but I didn’t drop because my feelings were hurt or I got bottom tier houses; I have friends in a lot of different houses including DPhiE and ASA. But I didn’t feel like I would fit in with the people that invited me back. I didn’t want to settle for people I couldn’t see myself associating with just to be a part of Greek life.
