True and not true. Alumni networks often post the jobs informally on their chapter website or fraternity social media before the job is posted and they fill the opening before it's officially posted. Don't doubt that power of those connections. If you think Greek nepotism isn't alive and well, you are naive. It's also the way to a great internship. Several frats have internships that are always filled by a brother. Do a good job at the internship and you stand a great shot at a job as soon as one opens up. If the guy hiring for the job isn't Greek, then yeah it's true. It all just depends. Event planning jobs are tailor made for sorority women who planned social events or recruitment.
