While it is an oddity at IU to have an unhoused chapter, and it makes people consider ASA second class, it really does not make the sisterhood. There are MANY campuses where sororities don't have houses. The women that come out of those chapters get all of the benefits of developing deep friendships, working together for common goals, leadership development, lifelong membership, etc. The members of ASA live together, just not in a house like most of the other chapters. There are fabulous women in that chapter. If your goal of joining a chapter was to find all of those things, you could find it there. To dismiss a group because they do not own a home, says that you may be looking for the wrong things.
