True, the power of choice rests maximally with the sororities. After the Open House round, they invite you. You decide if you will accept their invitation. If you have fewer invites than openings in your schedule, you MUST accept ALL your invites or your chance of a bid lowers substantially. This is what NPC sororities define as having an open mind. Not all women will receive invites to the maximum of open placements on their schedule. If the schedule says you may attend 8 parties and you have 5 invites, you MUST maximize your options and accept all 5 invites or you may not be bid. If, on the other hand, you are very very lucky and receive 10 invites and your schedule says you may attend 8 parties, you have the pleasure of declining 2 invitations.
