Nationals has not handled this situation correctly. You can actually enforce rules and be respectful all at the same time. You do not have to belittle or control people to do so. You can enforce the rules, close the chapter without trying to show people who is boss or prove some type of point. That is certainly not the way to earn respect and develop relationships with chapters and alumni. This chapter and its alum iare just saying what dozens of other chapters want to say but do not want to have to deal with the backlash of a handful of adults who have a mean girl mentality. If Nationals has proof that a large number of young ladies in this group acted in a manor that was not in compliance with what nationals requires, then they should do what they need to do. But the behavior of ignoring people's concerns or feeling like they do not owe anyone any type of explanation is ridiculous. Their philanthropy, St Jude is truly their saving Grsce most of the time.. Tri Delta is lucky enough to have the honor of being associated with an organization with the most dedicated group of founders, employees and volunteers who have worked for decades dedicated to the cause of St Jude. The St Jude family all have a genuine respect and love for one another. Being able to be blessed enough to play a role in their extended family and have your name associated with St Jude is like a winning lottery ticket.
