It makes financial sense to join a housed sorority because there is much more mixing that occurs among the tiers. Lower tiered housed sororities pair up or are invited to closed parties and upper tier parties. Unhoused sororities aren't invited and they rarely pair up. What are you paying for if you join an unhoused sorority?
