to @NOPE ASA began by chartering at small women's colleges. They advanced by becoming a established as an educational sorority, chartering at teachers colleges. DPhiE began and grew from large, established universities as one of the first non-sectarian social sororities. While both established full NPC membership in 1951, they continued to grow on different campuses. So while you state ASA and DPhiE are the same size, they for the most part belong to different types of campuses and thus I believe have differing strengths as far as type of women who are members, financial ability of same members, establishment on campuses with a house vs no housing, etc. I believe both DPhiE and ASA organizations fully capable of making wise housing decisions for their IU women according to their individual group's abilities, strengths, and purposes.
