"Planning" to build a house? Where? Out in Lansing? Let's break this down for you. In order to build a new house, they would need land, which means they would have to buy two adjacent houses, knock them down, and build. First, good luck finding anyone in East Lansing to sell their rentals (aka cash cow) and second, there is no way EL would allow you to re-zone the properties from regular rentals to a frat house. 2nd option: Finding a house/greek house big enough for Fiji to buy. Except A. that will never happen and B. if it ever did, a sorority would get the property first and would do it with the city's blessing. A well-taken care of sorority residence with a nicely manicured lawn and a house mom, etc. etc. VS. a frat house. Which do you think the city prefers?
