Top Tier --------- 1) Sigma Nu (No trend) - has risen considerably in recent years due to other top houses getting in trouble. Great house(s) and throw great socials. Will likely hold top spot until something big happens. It is possible, though, in a few semesters that another house musters enough solid pledge classes to surpass them. 2) Phi Gamma Delta (Downward trend) - Great house and location. Have risen to number 2 after SAE's issues. It is unclear if they can keep up with with DKE's rise or if SAE can recover to take their old spot back. 2) Sigma Alpha Epsilon (Downward trend) - The membership review and troubles with Nationals have dropped their standings considerably. The aftermath of the situation will dictate where they stand in the future. Still an excellent house and will likely be less selective with bids (at least for a top tier house) to compensate for any lost members next fall. 4) Delta Kappa Epsilon (Upward trend) - Rebranded Sig Ep. Great house and great parties. They have skyrocketed back into relevance. Good house to check out for sure. Upper Middle Tier ------------------ 5) Pi Kappa Alpha (Downward trend) - This house is barely holding onto relevance. Top houses still like socializing with them, but they simply don't have the clout they used to. When the older Alpha Phi's graduate, it's not looking good for them. If they turn around their act ASAP, they can reverse their trend and possibly make it back into top tier, but that seems unlikely. 6) Psi Upsilon (No trend) - Great house and decent parties, despite bad location and a few strange brothers. Respectful and would be the last house to get kicked off campus. They likely won't fall, but they likely won't rise either. If any house does rise to top tier, it will likely be Psi U, but that would probably require one of the big four getting kicked off. 7) Theta Chi (No trend) - Have kept the same spot more or less since coming back on campus. Nice house and decent parties. 8) Delta Sigma Phi (Downward trend) - Have been struggling to keep up with other good houses. Nice house and alright location, but they are known for being a little off. Despite this, they social fairly well. Not talked about much and seem to avoid the limelight. Lower Middle Tier ------------------ 9) Phi Kappa Psi (Upward trend) - Have historically been an irrelevant house, but in the past few years, their rush chairs have somehow put together a decent brotherhood. Securing Woodmere and keeping the trend of increasing bid selectivity will do them well. Definitely an investment house. Will skyrocket in value later, despite only bordering relevance currently. Possibly the most upside of any top 15 house. Can definitely break into Upper Mid next semester/year. 10) Alpha Sigma Phi (Downward trend) - Despite serious, significant improvement in the last two years, their house will be demolished the summer after next year. MSU has a serious dearth of solid fraternity housing, which will make it difficult for them to replace their Bogue house. Alpha Sig without a decent house will die. Consider it a risk given their tenuous housing situation. 11) Sigma Pi (No trend) - Great guys (a few oddballs though) who simply couldn't keep up with larger houses. Their house and location is keeping them down. It probably doesn't help being next to SAE either. Could see them taking Alpha Sig's spot soon, but that would only be due to Alpha Sig losing their house.
