I could never see psi u taking pikes spot, although they’ve consistently been right behind them in numeric rankings. What differentiates houses like pike, deke, snu, and Fiji from houses like theta chi, psi u, and Delt sig? It seems to be very easy to jump from bottom tier to upper mid or lower mid (look at alpha sig last year and phi psi this year), but this doesn’t seem to be true for the higher tiers. What’s so special about top houses?
