They are trying to prove that they are better than everyone else because they are petty and insecure. There are pretty girls in every house. The difference is the top ones have "hotter" girls. There is a big difference between being hot and being prettty. Take away all the makeup, fake tans, revealing clothes and instagram filters and honestly not a big difference between the top 7 or so houses. These rankings are driven by popularity with the frats. Unless sororities stop giving fraternities to power to determine our self worth nothing will change. The top three will always be the top three etc.... so many frats only mix with 2 or 3 sororities so they don't even know what the majority of the girls are like in Greek life. Be happy in the house that you are in, have fun with the frats that you mix with let go of the rankings because most likely it will not change during your years at MSU.
