While I believe there is great value in some sororities, the process for recruitment is anything but healthy or ideal. So many of these wonderful young women are exploring RUSH and need to understand it's not personal ... it's not an indicator of who you are or how far you'll go in this life. Instead, it is often a shallow reflection of this university subculture that weighs how you look greater than who you are. Yes, there are other "qualitative measures" that may factor in occasionally. Yet the reality of drawing conclusions from short interactions throughout a week or so is far from anything scientific or reasonably legitimate. Ladies, if you do not get selected for a sorority -- or chosen for one of your top tier choices -- please know you are still AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, WORTHY, and FULL OF PROMISE.
