Since you're a sophomore they kinda expect higher from you than high school girls. They're expecting you to have over a 3.0. I rushed sophomore year with a GPA below a 3 and thought I would be okay but got dropped by a lot of houses due to it. It isn't impossible to go through rush, but be prepared to get cut a lot.
