My sister pledged as a freshman while I was a junior - both in, say, mid livel. It was awesome. Met so many friends of each other it was so cool. Even my bro's thought it was cool and kind of protected her. Hey - it's an awesome experience that I was glad to share. Also became great friends with some of her sisters - even a few I didn't know about until later. Go through the process. It's the way it is for a reason. Don't get hung up on "top house" stuff. SERIOUSLY The girls at the "bottom house" have a great time in their greek experience. Also: remember, you're in it for life - which means what is not a "top" undergraduate house - can still provide a very wide resource as alumna. Something to think about. :)
