I’m pretty sure there is a quota, but it is quite small like you’re not guaranteed that you’ll get in a house but you definitely have a chance! Houses only accept a few upperclassmen but there are way less juniors than sophomores and freshmen so it stays about the same ratio. When I rushed, every single house accepted at least a few juniors. To be honest of course there’s a chance that it doesn’t work out and you don’t end up in a house, there are sooo many girls rushing and only so many spots open in sororities, so if it happens don’t take it personally. It’s a difficult process and through rush you’ll talk to like 2 people out of the 150 in the chapter the first day and sometimes you don’t click, but that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t have fit in with the chapter as a whole there are so many different types of girls in each chapter with different interests and honestly it’s a bit of a game of luck to be paired with someone you really click with. I can’t say for everyone, but MOST people who don’t end up in a sorority didn’t because they dropped out of the process because they didn’t get into their top pick. But that goes for anyone and your age doesn’t affect it! But honestly just go for it and try it out! Don’t let the fear of getting dropped stop you from rushing. Just be prepared and yourself and see the process for yourself!
