Honestly if you’re thinking about it, just do it. See the process, meet the different chapters and see if it’s right for you. It’s 100% worth it to at least try it out rather than regret not rushing later. I was skeptical about the process and decided not to rush and regretted it so much after seeing all the new girls so excited after bid day. I had to wait a whole year to rush again and I definitely signed up the first day registration was released. Honestly best decision of my life. So many unforgettable memories with new lifelong friends, going to formals, helping the community through philanthropy, feeling at home, and growing as a person I still wish I would have rushed the year before so I could have another year of it! Of course it can be a big financial commitment but if you can afford it I 100% recommend joining a chapter. It’s honestly worth it in the long run, and you money goes back to you through sisterhood events, chapter meals, dances, clothes, etc. it’s not like you’re just throwing away money. It’s an investment in yourself! If you want to rush, do it! Don’t let worrying about if it’s right for you, if you’re a transfer or too old, tried rushing once already and want to give it another chance, or don’t see yourself as a “typical sorority girl” it doesn’t hurt to try it out! It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity so make the most of it :)
