I would just join Delta Zeta or Alpha Gamma Delta this spring. If you are cool, you will probably get in, and be happy. They are both full of really nice girls, even though they aren't upper tier, and they aren't all super hot. Delta Zeta seems to have a lot of alumni in California and AGD has a lot all of the country, so you will still get the connections.
